Brothers left behind

Some of the guys on the Oldhammer Forum are already planning a game for BOYL2018. The concept is a space marine chapter that has lost contact with Terra; out of touch with the Emporer of mankind.

These marines have had to fare for themselves. Over the centuries, their equipment has failed, injuries and fallen brothers has reduced their number. They have lost their purpose and now they live for themselves; rampaging across the planet taking what the need (or simply want) to survive. They are the STAR BASTARDS!

Inspired by the idea (and tiring of painting Nurgle deamons) I decided to start a side project of making my first Star Bastard.

Two Pineapples and a new drag outfit for Joe

Loyal followers of this blog (and you must be loyal, because I'm rubbish at keeping it up to date!) may remember me posting the blister packs of the ABC Warriors that I bought at BOYL2014 (see HERE).

Well, in that post I said that I bought two Joe's because I was going to convert one to be in drag in homage to the iconic image when Joe accepts Khaos in the awesome Khronicles of Khaos.

Two years later and....

Pineapples - A natural part of drag

Do Rogue Traders dream of electric goats?

7 months late, but it's never to late to talk about BOYL!

BOYL15's film related game was 'Do Rogue Traders Dream of Electric Goats' (or I supposed 'Goatrunner' would work too).

JB (asslessman) GMed the game of Replicants, Police, Corporate lackies and Gangers. All with their own goals/motives and a heap load of firepower!

My replicant band (right) set up near a bunch of thugs.

And BOYL begins (well began…..over a week ago….)

Well just over a week after the event, I'm finally getting down to some blogging. (This will be no surprise to my elite [read as very few] followers. I am nothing if not consistent in my inability to blog regularly.)

So first day of BOYL saw me at GW central playing Inquisimunda (an adaption of Necromunda with more exotic warbands). The setting was simply (!?!) nine players [Axiom, Captain Crooks, Whiskey Priest,  Just John, Cheetor/Sho3box, Graham, Gadge, Asslessman, Paul and me] split into 2 factions. We played in some Tau ruins where the goal of the Faction that my Rogue trader supported wanted to gain information from the console at the top of the central tower, therefore our opponents' aim was to destroy it.

Hard BOYLed Treats - The Overdue, "What I bought at my weekend at theFoundry"

Ok, so I should really have (and intended to) posted this about two weeks ago. However, with a week in Wales at the Mother-In-Law's, exam results and preparing for a new job at a new school, I have been remiss and not put this tease of toys on my blog.

Anyway, I grew up reading 2000AD and have always loved the comic series containing big robots what kicks a*se!
