Papa gets a new recruit

This lockdown is proving good for productivity. Managed to add another Champion to my Nurgle unit.

The unit is up to nine, so I need another 5 to keep it in line with Nurgle's sacred number.

Two of Papa's Finest

As an ongoing (more than 3 decades, owing to my attention span of a gnat) I am painting a Realm of Chaos Nurgle force. Today it grew by two members.

These two gribbly warriors expand a group of Nurgle Champions well overdue a paint job.

Oldhammer Ebay Trawl Challenge

A member of the newly formed Oldhammer group, suggested a challenge. To trawl through ebay listing and find a guilty pleasure to paint. We'll, I did and here he is:

I have loved this particular model since its release and this challenge finally gave me the push to buy and paint a copy. 

He's come out a darker tone than I originally intended, but that's one of the miniature painting bucket list.

I’m amazed, but I’ve reached 100 painted items of painted hobby stuff in 2018 (I’m counting scenery too). This is particularly amazing for me, as I normally only get about 30 to 40 done in a year!!!

Brothers left behind

Some of the guys on the Oldhammer Forum are already planning a game for BOYL2018. The concept is a space marine chapter that has lost contact with Terra; out of touch with the Emporer of mankind.

These marines have had to fare for themselves. Over the centuries, their equipment has failed, injuries and fallen brothers has reduced their number. They have lost their purpose and now they live for themselves; rampaging across the planet taking what the need (or simply want) to survive. They are the STAR BASTARDS!


Inspired by the idea (and tiring of painting Nurgle deamons) I decided to start a side project of making my first Star Bastard.

Increasing the Smush - WIPster Style!

The Scale Creepers decided to do a Secret Santa this year.  I sent my miniature off to my given WIPster and shortly after received a present that then taunted me for nearly two weeks before we had an online opening session on Christmas Eve.

Some of you may be aware of my love of the Awesome ABC warriors. Well, my Secret Santa played a blinder! I had missed out on the Warlord/Mongoose Mongrol (having not anticipated it so quickly going out of production), but BLAM! I opened my present and there was the Smushmeister himself.

Two Pineapples and a new drag outfit for Joe

Loyal followers of this blog (and you must be loyal, because I'm rubbish at keeping it up to date!) may remember me posting the blister packs of the ABC Warriors that I bought at BOYL2014 (see HERE).

Well, in that post I said that I bought two Joe's because I was going to convert one to be in drag in homage to the iconic image when Joe accepts Khaos in the awesome Khronicles of Khaos.
